Blessings Of The Forest Granted Observer Status at the WIPO Intergovernmental Committee (IGC)
Blessings Of The Forest NGO has been officially accredited as an Observer to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC).
This recognition enables BOTF to contribute to international discussions concerning the protection of traditional knowledge, genetic resources, indigenous cultural heritage, and equitable benefit-sharing mechanisms related to biodiversity and biocultural assets.
For Gabon, this accreditation represents an important step toward strengthening the international recognition and protection of traditional knowledge associated with iboga and the Bwiti cultural heritage.
