2023 was a pivotal year for Blessings of the Forest (BOTF), marked by major progress despite a significant governmental transition in Gabon.

BOTF enabled the first legal export of iboga under the Nagoya Protocol, supported 14 partner associations, planted 19,000 iboga trees, and empowered over 1,800 people across 35 villages.

It also strengthened governance, partnerships, and cultural preservation, laying the groundwork for sustainable, community-led conservation and equitable benefit-sharing.
